הסרבן על גאוותה. חולוד
בדאווי קבעה נקודה חשובה,
כאשר היא שיבחה את הסרבנים
כקרן
אור עבור אזרחיה הפלסטינים
של המדינה. והיתה המון
מוזיקה ...
נראה שהפסקת
אש עומדת להיכנס לתוקף
עפ"י החלטת מועצת הביטחון.
אבל אין בכך כדי
להוריד
במשהו מחשיבותה של תנועת
הסרבנים. העימות בלבנון
עשוי לפרוץ שוב, והכיבוש
בשטחים
נמשך, בפרט ברצועת עזה
בה מבוצעים פשעי מלחמה
על בסיס יומיומי. תנועת
"יש
גבול" תמשיך את מאמציה
למען הסרבנים, לחינוך
בקהל הרחב, להעמדה לדין
של בכירים
החשודים בפשעי
מלחמה ולסיום הכיבוש,
כדי להבטיח שאסון "לבנון
2" לא יחזור על עצמו
!

Dear friend,
Our appeal to join the Saturday
prison vigil in support of five jailed
refuseniks of the present Lebanon fighting got a good response, with close on
300
participants, including members of other peace groups, former refuseniks,
non-affiliated sympathisers, family and friends.

nothing fell on us...):

Athlit "Prison No. 6", hauling
up equipment that included a beefed-up PA system
and an electronic organ, and spent the next two hours bombarding the prison
and
its inmates with messages of support and solidarity, from political statements
by various peace activists, to the
mother who grabbed the microphone to tell
her refusenik son how proud he has made her. Khulood Badawwi made a telling
point
when she hailed the refuseniks as a ray of light for Israel's Palestinian
minority. And there was plenty of music...
An
apparently imminent cease-fire, following the Security Council resolution,
does not detract in any way from the significance
of the refusenik movement.
Yesh Gvul is determined to maintain its campaign of support for refuseniks and
broad education
efforts, to make sure the Lebanon 2 disaster is not repeated,
to have alleged war criminals indicted and to end the occupation
!
